Kurzweil 3000 Professional includes: Kurzweil 3000 on CD-ROM, Classic Literature CD-ROM, printed User's Manual, Tutorial, Quick Reference, and Active Learning and Study Strategies Guide.
Kurzweil 3000™ is the premier reading, writing and learning software for struggling students. Because Kurzweil 3000 is also content independent, teachers in elementary, middle and secondary schools alike use it to help students succeed in the classroom regardless of their curriculum.
With Kurzweil 3000, students and educators can also mark main ideas, extract outlines, create voice notes and add annotations. Integrated reference tools such as dictionary, synonyms, syllables, spell word, audible spell checking, along with word prediction and vocabulary list features, facilitate both reading and writing.
In addition, the product is proving instrumental for both classroom and standardized assessments. Educators can measure students' true abilities with Kurzweil 3000's unique, customizable testing accommodations conforming to individual IEP requirements, learning styles and preferences.
The Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh product line consists of three different products, all available either as standalone or network editions. Schools may mix and match these products within their environment based on their needs.
Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Professional Color provides for the creation and delivery of electronic documents. Documents can be scanned in color or black and white or opened from another application and saved into Kurzweil 3000 proprietary format. Kurzweil 3000 users who only have one copy of the product typically find it best to have a Kurzweil 3000 Professional which allows them to create and prepare documents as well as use the powerful reading, writing and learning tools.

Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Professional Black and White provides the same features as the Professional Color product, but documents can be scanned in black and white only. Documents scanned in color using the Professional Color product can be displayed in color in the Black and White Professional and LearnStation products.
Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh LearnStation allows users to open previously scanned documents as well as other electronic documents. Kurzweil 3000 LearnStation provides the same powerful reading, writing and learning tools as the Kurzweil 3000 Professional product. Users who have more than one copy of the product often have a combination of Kurzweil 3000 Professionals and Kurzweil 3000 LearnStations.
