Assistive Tech Strategies Summer Camp for Students and their Parents/Guardians
We invite you to join us for a dynamic 4 half-day camp designed to reinforce the many strengths of students with learning disabilities, while offering them the tools to tackle their unique learning challenges.
Students: Program activities will make use of a variety of software tools to accommodate their disabilities, and they will explore and expand their reading, writing, planning and studying strategies in a fun and friendly environment.
Parents: This portion of the program offers a facilitated forum for exploration of the many rewards and frustrations in store for an adult supporting a child with a learning disability. In each of the four half-day sessions, Parents (one Parent, Guardian or Support Person per student) will receive hands-on software instruction, and are welcome to join in group discussions and presentations led by a Special Education teacher, learning disabled students and Assistive Technology Specialists.
